Article I. Association Name. This association shall be known as the United Poodle Breeds Association, hereinafter referred to as "the Association" or "UPBA".

Article II. Purpose. The United Poodle Breeds Association exists to promote the "total poodle". We strive to advance the best interests and welfare of purebred Poodles and Standard Poodles and to bring their natural qualities to perfection through versatility in performance and careful breeding. UPBA is not in competition with any other dog organization, nor does the Association seek to duplicate the efforts of other organizations.

Article III. Objectives. The objectives of the United Poodle Breeds Association are:

To promote participation by Poodles and Standard Poodles in all performance activities; b) to promote conformation showing of clean Poodles and Standard Poodles displaying their natural coats; c) to educate members, U.K.C. judges, and others about our versatile breeds; d) to promote careful, informed breeding of healthy, sound, genetically diverse Poodles and Standard Poodles with breed-specific good temperament; e) to provide a foundation for the eventual formation of a U.K.C. National Association for Poodles and a U.K.C. National Association for Standard Poodles; f) to promote U.K.C. litter registration.

Article IV. Association Profits. The Association shall not be conducted or operated for profit and no part of any profits or remainder or residue from dues or donations to the Association shall benefit any member or individual.

Article V. Rules For Licensed Events. All licensed events sponsored by the Association will be conducted in accordance with the rules, policies, and procedures of the United Kennel Club.

Article VI. Revisions. The members of the Association shall adopt and may from time to time revise such Bylaws as may be required to carry out these objectives.
